Shenzhen, China / 11 ~ 13 Jan 2022, the Dubai World Expo was held at Dubai Chamber Building, Dubai, UAE. On the 11, Jan, the launch ceremony was held simultaneously in Shenzhen and Dubai in real time by video online. Shenzhen Mayor, Qin Weizhong, attended the ceremony and pointed out in his speech that Shenzhen will earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, take the "Shenzhen Day" event of the China Pavilion at the event as an opportunity to strengthen practical cooperation with Dubai in the fields of science and technology innovation, investment and trade, financial services, culture and art, epidemic prevention and control, work together to achieve common prosperity and development, and strive to make new and greater contributions to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
The event was a combination of online and offline, with a series of diverse and informative activities in Shenzhen and Dubai, including an interactive exhibition of Shenzhen science and technology innovation, a UAE exhibition of Shenzhen Products Show, a non-foreign heritage show and a cheongsam display, to show the world the key achievements made by Shenzhen. More than 50 enterprises from Shenzhen's high-tech and traditional advantageous industries, including BYD, SCG and Myriad, went to Dubai with more than 350 products, while professional buyers from the Middle East came to watch the exhibition, negotiate and purchase. The Chairman and CEO of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Buamim, said that the UAE Shenzhen Products Show was well attended by enterprises from both regions, conveying their interest and confidence in establishing business ties and opening up new channels of cooperation.
