Perpetual PoE
Generally, the PD would be powered down when the PSE switch is rebooting, it would take minutes to get the PD re-powered. With this function, the PoE supplied to PD would be kept enabled during rebooting. Even if the PSE causes the PD to lose power, when getting power up, it would supply power to PD within seconds. This process is also called "fast POE”.

IEEE 802.3bt PoE++
The initial IEEE 802.3af provides power for the simple and static system. However, with each passing day, more power is available in the standard IEEE 802.3at to drive a variety of embedded motors, it allows cameras to provide more functions including up/down, left/right movement and zoom. Nowadays, with enough power budget in standard IEEE 802.3bt, those cameras with up/down, left/right movement and zoom functions could be integrated fans and heating components to support operating at extreme temperatures.
